Under the support and guidance of founder & artistic director: Karo Tak and co-director: Anna Schoo, Gener8or pursues two main artistic goals:
1-Creating and performing high quality powerful& dynamic physical theatre using a distinct multicultural view on theatre, mixing fresh Australian theatre with raw European/Dutch theatre under strong guidance of Dutch director: Karo Tak and Australian/Dutch co-director: Anna Schoo. In addition Gener8or provides high quality training and coaching by facilitating workshops and physical theatre training on a national and international level that empowers and inspires sustainable artistic journeys and the development of new work for emerging artists and artists that need a new fresh look on their work.
Gener8or believes that theatre is about telling a story; it’s a dialogue with the audience, with other performers. All of the work we create provides perspectives on the stories, concerns, obstacles, fears, dreams and desires of all artists and other communities. We pursue the highest standards in all our activities, benchmarking our work wherever possible against the best of Australian and European performing artists.
Own Creations:
Gener8or develops and creates powerful, fresh, innovative, contemporary physical theatre with strong elements of puppetry/circus, martial arts and boxing. Gener8or feels strongly committed to exploring new ways of making, creating, presenting theatre that reaches a wider audience.
Providing training and coaching:
Generator is a platform for all artists and performers that want to create, perform, and develop contemporary theatre. 2-Developing innovative partnerships& collaborations with existing arts practitioners, industry professionals &companies within Australia with a focus on Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane, connecting and promoting artists by creating an accessible artist network by acting as an artist networking consultancy and providing seminars, workshops, collaborations between different artists in different art forms.
