Gener8or is a mobile company, always on the move, always active, especially our roving performance side of the company has been running over time in 2010 with the Green Man Project in Sydney in May, followed by the Sydney International Fifa Fanfest, in June/July, plus facilitating roving performance for Tourism Australia for a few days @ Flinders Station in Melbourne and ending the year with the Falls Music Festival, Marion Bay. Gener8or had about 20 performers working for the company, which is such an exiting development from where it all started. THANK YOU CREW! Even though GENER8OR predominantly operates in Sydney and Melbourne we are focused on being a mobile company and in 2011 and 2012 we will be more internationally focused with the company projects/workshops and productions, taking Gener8or to Europe and Hong Kong.
SABBATICAL
2011 will be a sabbatical year for the company, so Karo (director) can concentrate on her creative developments and many side projects she does besides her work with Gener8or. Karo will organize workshops, projects and show her latest theatre installation work LIGHTVISIONS in Holland and England over summer, so keep checking this website for any updates. POWERPLANT
2011 has been an amazing year for Gener8or’s director Karo Tak, she has been part of the Power Plant team for their international tour this year, working at Sydney Festival, the Hong Kong Arts Festival and 10 days on the island, Hobart. Power Plant is a huge site specific light and sound installations project from England: www.powerplant.org.uk, working with Power Plant (especially the amazing Anne Bean www.annebean.net) has changed her artistic vision and life completely, such a powerful experience.
